Dying To Save a Tree

I heard about the Bishnois some years back and I was very impressed with their dedication to saving lives be they trees or animals and what to speak of human beings?

Amrita Devi gave her life to attempt to save the killing of a tree. Her daughters were also killed and the villagers protested and were also beheaded. By the time the king intervened over 360 men,women and children died to protect the trees.
