Happy Holidays To All

Dear Readers;

I've had an issue with Christmas ever since I was a teenager ,when I exchanged, religion for spirituality.

Although I have the greatest respect for Jesus I have never liked the commercialization of the season.

Now that my children are all grown up I've taken the time to do the Holiday Season...my way.

Simple tree.
Simple gifts.
....and surrounding ourselves with family and friends.....

Simply perfect.

Hare Krsna and Happy Holidays.

Until next time,
Lal

The Magic Of Horns

Dear Readers;

Imagine how much magic can be packed into these horns?

A few of the bio dynamic preparations include: filling a cow horn with manure and burying over winter (BD prep 500)

Of course the lovely beasty must first live a long , happy life and leave this impermanent world naturally.

Until next time,

Big,Big Sweaters

Dear Readers;

I must surrender to the fact that Winter is here to stay.....at least for a little while. During that time why not stay warm and still look fabulous?

I'm a big fan of over sized sweaters and I've owned many over the years.

Here are a few pics from Pintrest that I would definitely wear.

 Until next time,
Hare Krsna,
Lal

Creative Wood Storage Ideas

Dear Readers;

When we renovated our farm kitchen,Gord was wanting to install an electric stove as well as our Pioneer Princess Wood Burning stove.http://www.amishcookstoves.com/pioneer_princess.shtml but I insisted that if we wanted to do this simple living lifestyle then we had to do it by ...well doing it!

It's now four years later and we LOVE our stove. I could wax poetic about this stove all day long...but I won't.

In order for this fantastic stove to work properly it requires alot of wood. That wood needs to be close at hand at all times because we cook on the stove year round and the stove also heats our water.

 Here are some inspiring pics found on https://www.pinterest.com/ on wood storage.

Until next time.
Hare Krsna.

Zen On The Farm

Dear Readers;

I spend much of my time thinking and putting into practice ways to keep my life and my surroundings minimized . I'm hoping that the new look of my blog will reflect this simple living and our goal to a more spiritual take on life.

Here are some pictures  from our daily morning meditation walk.

Until next time,
Hare Krsna,
