From Beaches To Blizzards

Dear Readers;

 My husband and I have always worked for ourselves. We have owned crafting businesses,vegetarian restaurant/Inn,building companies,small subdivisions and many other small businesses. Although my husband was busy doing business I was either burnt out or bored. I mean honestly how many years is a gal to spend  lounging on a tropical beach? Eight years to be exact! I wanted to be an everyday part of a business that I loved to do.....so maybe we wouldn't make much money but money does not buy happiness anyways.

We moved back to Canada from sunny Panama. By the time we finished paying for our farm in Murray River,PEI we had approximately $6oo left. It was a horribly cold winter with blizzard after blizzard...our 1840 Victorian House was freezing cold. Fortunately the Buddhist Monks allowed us to bake bread for them and then we had a few more dollars to buy a few buckets of coconut oil and olive oil and essential oils so that we could make our first batch of soap. We had no idea what we were doing. We failed batch after batch but with each failure we taught ourselves what not to do. Fast forward almost three years and we have soap that our customers from far and wide are raving about.

Our lifestyle is simple so that we can keep the prices of our products low...low ..low. We truly believe that everyone should be able to live a healthy life without slathering their bodies with industrial waste.

 We don't make a heck of a lot of money but we make enough to keep our protected herd of cows in grain and hay. If our cows are happy then quite simply we are happy:)
