Oh...the joys and pains of life....even for cows. Urvashi is still trying to rid her body of the placenta. The vet told us that ...all was well and it would take quite some time for her body to get rid of the darn thing. She is clearly uncomfortable...she's not in pain...but you can just imagine...something coming out of your own back end for 8 days.
This afternoon I took a friend to see her and she was standing with her backend towards us while she fed the calves. She walked up to us to tell her that she was going and went into the other area of the barn...away from us so that we couldn't witness her discomfort. I noticed that she had backed up against the wall and was rubbing her rear end...trying to dislodge the "thing".
We who are vaisnava are actually a cow culture and in the scripture it states that we should pay our respects to the cows morning and evening. We should speak about cows all the time.
That is so easy to do when you own cows and bulls. I think about them all day and go to sleep thinking about them and wake up thinking about them. I want to paint their hornes and hooves. I think about how to paint the barn inside and out. We worry about them constantly...do they have enough water and food? Are they happy?
Fasting..piercings and suffering for the people. |
Please do what you can to also own cows.
Hare Krsna.
